97 force 120hp outboard overheat temp sensor is a snap ring in a recessed area ,how do i test to see if it is operating properly.thanks u guys for all your help,hope there is a boat heaven,need to send u guys a pound cake,jeff
Remove the wire that is attached to it and with the key on...ground the above said wire. The buzzer should buzz.<br /><br />As for the sending unit...Its a mercury switch that has to short to ground.<br /><br />TMD
