I wanted to get some fender covers for the boat. I saw some at West Marine for $30 each, and they were not so great.

So, the Admiral found some throw-blankets at a discount store that were similar to the teal accent color of the boat. . .

today, she made the covers . . .

I think that they came out pretty good :thumb:

total cost was $8 for 4 covers. :D

A little home ingenuity goes a long way to keeping the costs down.

Based on my experience with fender covers, those will probably work better and last longer then the ones you can buy premade anyway.

Just be shure to keep them clean,I've seen a few that the boat owners let them get dirty, sand from the beach ext.... Scratches the heck out of their boat!
Nice job though!

Nice job :) ..

I agree with the "keeping them clean". Any dirt on those things and you will abrade your gel/paint.

I have mixed feelings on the Fender Cover thing.

You can get a baby swaddle blanket or even a micro-fiber towel and rub it all over your hull. You put a few grains of sand in the same cover and it Could scratch your finish.

That being said .. again nice job on the covers :) .

YD.
