I would like to know how fishing is on Dale Hollow Lake?

The last time I was there was back in 1969 and we did allot of Rainbow Fishing using Whole Kneel Corn.

We went down in May for Crappie and never seen one.

When is the best time to go fishing down there?

Re: Dale Hollow Lake

Try fishing it the same way you did Cumberland.
Good Luck have fun and be careful of all the Drunks.
Here is a link of DH showing where the Reciprocal Fishing zone is.

Re: Dale Hollow Lake

There can't be any wahoo or yellowfin tuna in Dale Hollow. Unless, they're some local nicknames for some other freshwater fish.

That's the only thing that I know.

I don't know why they called the fish this. Like you said, they could be calling another fish this.

Re: Dale Hollow Lake

I fished Dale Hollow a good bit growing up...raised in Knoxville but had lots of folks in the Nashville area. Dale Hollow is a small mouth dream lake. Black flies tipped with minnows is a killer there. I've caught plenty of the small fighters that way. Hit the rocky banks early and let the fly fall naturally. They almost always hit on the fall so be ready, the hit will be very light...easy to miss.
