Damaged Prop?

Can a damaged prop keep an engine from running at high speed? Will it cause a rough idle?

Yes, and maybe . . . Is the rough idle only in gear? If it idles rough in neutral then not the prop. A damaged prop could definitely cause a reduction in max RPM that an engine could run. Could also cause it to run higher RPM. Any chance of posting a picture?
