I just got done turning the last bolt on my 1993 70hp rebuild (dead cylinder, overbore with new pistons) and was cleaning up when I grabbed the package my thread locker came in and noticed that it wasn't locker at all, but thread sealant... I remember gabbing locker at the auto parts store, then hanging it back up to go ask a question and just before checking out I grabbed the (wrong) package and got out of dodge. Live and learn I guess, I thought it was funny that it wasn't red colored, but didn't put two and two together until it was to late.

Anyway, the only part that I'm worried about is the rod cap bolts. I think I can pull the manifold and remove each bolt individually, apply locker reinstall and re torque. Any one else ever try this? I know I'll find out tomorrow but I thought I would float the question anyway.

Thanks,

K
