Darn wires!

Here's what I found. After checking out the spark plug boot, I found that with a light tug on the wire, the boot completely came off!! There is a screw in the metal casing on the boot that screws into the wire. I cut the wire back 1/4" inch and screwed the plug boot back on the wire. It ran like a champ for about 300yrds then dropped back to 1 cylinder. If you'd let it cool, it'd run great again. After more looking, I found that the same wire was loose inside the coil. It feels like the wire is about to pull out of the coil. I am getting a new coild tonite as I am sure this is my problem. Let me know what you find out!

Re: Darn wires!

Do you have the wires that screw in and out of the coils? I have replaced them with 8mm automotive wires that slide/hold in, and it worked fine for years. If you could find some older automotive wires(solid wire inside instead of silicone) that would be great. :D
