I'm in the process of restoring a 15 foot fiberglass outboard boat. Currently on the dash there's only a voltage gauge and a MPH gauge. Are there any other gauges that I would want to have or need for a 55 hp outboard motor? We are in the process of designing the dash so your contribution would be greatly apprecaited.

Re: Dash board gauges

On any outboard, RPMs are very important. A tachometer is a MUST. Also I would have either a water pressure gauge or a temperature gauge...I'm going to be putting in one of both.

You can never have too much information about how you boat is running. Here is a great link where you can see what gauges are avaible and how to hook them up.

http://www.tflx.com/tech.html

Scroll down on that page and look around
