I have a Ritchie flush mounted compass on my boat. It gets interference with something behind it. I believe the steering components are the culprit. Is there something I can do to fix it or is there a lower profile compass I can get to replace it? I dont want to just remove it as there will be a hole in the panel.
Thanks

Re: Dash flush mount compass

Flux gate compoass would be ideal. They make them in sizes to replace a flush mount. Alternatively, leave what you have in place, buy a GPS, and if you still want reliable basic compass heading information, make a deviation graph (using the GPS as a reference) for the Ritchie.
