My daughter and her friends "accidently" inflated my SOSpenders.

I am looking for a cheap source of the cartridges. I can find plenty of CO2 cartridges on the internet, but they are mostly the 12gram ones. I need 38gram with 1/2 thread.

I can not belive they can only be had a marine stores at $12-$15 each, when the 12 gram are 10 for $5.95. I did try to search the Iboats MegaMall, but did not find any.

Thanks

Good Luck.
Let us know what you find.

Shipping from online source may be high as it is a "bomb".

This is critical safety equipment here, don't try to find a substitute cartridge. You want the one manufactured by the manufacturer of the vest for that particular vest.

It's fine to shop for the least expensive vendor for the "official" cartridge. Don't forget any shipping charges.

rwidman,

All that is needed is a 38gram 1/2 thread cartridge. There is no spec on a manufacuter. I highly doubt there is a company that makes a "Marine Grade" cartridge.

neumanns,

I wish I could have seen the look on thier faces!!!
My daughter thought she had broke it and I would have to buy a new one, she thought I was going to be mad.
I took it in stride, repacked it with the spare, and had them out on the water in 10 minutes.
