i have an 8' dayton sportyak 3 and the people i bought it from said that they didnt use the sail but the person they got it from did. i want to know if the sail i got with it is an accsesory that origanaly came with the boat or is it one that was put on later. it came with two ore like attachments that act as keels and two attachments that are basicly two 1x4 with an 1 1/2" holes. the sail is a 7' sail with two poles running down the 90 degrie sides. i was thinking they fit in the other attachments and acted like a sail with mast and boom but they dont fit.
