This is not an actual motor problem,...but a question. I was wondering if I was to clean up the top part of the housing, of my motor, if there were Decals, or something, to refit it??
Johnson, Seahorse, 9.9, etc..???
Me and the in-laws took it out to Cloud Lake, Sunday...A splendid day for the 3 of us!
The 9.9 worked like it was supposed to...once we got the hang of the 40:1 mix. No mosquitos that day! The uncle-in-law, caught 4, 16 inch Speckled Trout with a "BuzzBomb".
All was right , that day...Three guys, in a 12 ft. boat, for 7 hours!!! We laughed our _sses
off!
Thanks for any info on where I can get some decals the the outboard.

Kerry

Re: Decals

Glad to hear Sunday went so well for you.

Also glad to here the only thing you're concerned about is decals. :D
Ebay

The dealer also sells them, but they'll probably want an arm and a leg. You can also get a local auto decal place to make you up a custom set, but probably not for $10.

Re: Decals

Thanks Paul;
Doesn't seem like a lot to most people...but you never know how the first excursion, on your first boat with the father-in-law and his brother, is going to go. For a '76, the motor was unbelievable...Powered our sorry _asses all over that Lake for 6 and 1/2 hours.
Thanks for the info in the Decals...I guess I don't have a lot worry about, if that all there is that happened on the trip. We have a three day trip planned for the Labour-Day Week-End! Seems the wives are coming out in late afternoon, and leaving after sun-set! Not sure if thats a beer-run, or what..
Thanks again,

Kerry
