We have 7 in our family and own a '77 Invader 17' boat. Needless to say, we are running out of room. We would like to get a bigger (about 20-21 ft.), newer boat. We will use it to ski and we also like to fish, but most interested in skiing/wakeboarding.

I am just wondering if anyone knows which boats could fit our crew? Could we ski behind a deck boat?? I don't know much about them. We have a small lake here, and also enjoy going to Flaming Gorge/Lake Powell, so need something that can handle those waves!

So far I have liked Chaparral the best for a ski boat, also I have found a Cobalt 19ft boat with
wrap seating, but I'm not sure how much room there is (I'm 2 hrs. from boat). My hubby wants an open bow. Any ideas???

Thanks!
Sleepr

You have a great many boats to choose from. Here are a couple of threads that touch on these topics -

Buying a Deck Boat

New Boat

Kelly Cook

Sleepr
Make sure you check the Coast Guard plate for max number of people. I think most 20 foot boats limited to 6 people and can be sited if have seven. Each person must have a seat. Usually rated for max weight (persons and Gear) and max persons.
