I'm sorry I know this type of question has been asked before but I have spent 2 hours trying to find a decoder anywhere on net. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I just waqnt to find out what year this motor is for sure. Stamp on valve cover had model # 302 AMF?T..serial number T0973210. Block is stamped with number M02177RB. Would also love to know what carb it has for sure (It says rochester 2 jet 61714936).

Howdy,

Take a look at http://epc.brp.com you don't have to put in your email.

Select Stern drive. Obviously a 3.0L engine.

try 1990 +/- a few years.

you'll see the model numbers to compare to.

Regards,

Rick

Could this be it?

Ayuh,... It would be No surprise that a 22 year old boat, doesn't still have it's original motor....

You mean like my 1987 Four Winns Liberator formerly OMG powered, now with a 1997 Mercruiser Bravo?

I started this thread then lost my password and could never get a password reset (not sure why) so I started a new user name. It is indeed a 1987 and it is in a 24' 1989 riviera cruiser pontoon. The previous owners had the pontoon retrofitted for the inboard and bought an aluminum motor bay for it. Really sweet setup. I'm just trying to work some kinks out, like the shifting issue I posted.
