There is a Pronto Market on Antelope Blvd. It is still there, by the hamberger joint across the street from Holiday Market..
Is it the same one?
We have a HomeDepo now and more housing.. The home prices are very high here now. Average home is $250,000 now. They are building homes out past the air port in the flood plains on old Paskenta road. Homes out there are $549,000.. Who would want to live out there.. Only people that don't know that area I guess. The Liddi's in town made a killing on the property on East 36 hwy. Did you know them?
Alot is a changing here, but it still holds its knickname..DeadBluff..

sounds like things have changed a lot, yes thats the place. I was over in Antelope, at the time I could have bought the house I was in for about $90,000.00 but I could not find a regular steady job! Only part time, so I had to come back to OK. About all I did while I was there was look for work. That and spend time with my (now X) wifes brother. Thats about all she wanted to do while we were there. Great place never locked the door, hell half the time we didn't even close it when we left. Loved it there, would have stayed and bought the house, just needed full time employment, If you know what I mean. Did get to see it snow in town there! That was cool, I still tell people here how the neighbors would sit outside and watch the electrical storms, you don't see that here! Man if I would have could have bought that house I would have made good money on it now! Oh well.

Ya, work here is still bad.. But if you are willing and ask around, you can stay quite busy. I had that girl thing going on for me, but when people watched me work, it didn't take long to realize I get the job done and I don't horse around about.. I can't believe how lazy some people are here.. You could give them free glass and the cutter, plus putty and they rather live in a house with a broken window.. I just shake my head and laugh.. Things have changed to the point that you need cameras on your property.. Plus a little ammo to boot.. There have been burglaries like you can't believe, even the cops storage got broken into.. That's bad... Wal-Mart warehouse is the only place going right now and the mills.. Not much more.. The big thing I see is that it is better to be somewhat self employed, with part time job.. I was here when it snowed my second year.. Had alot of fun with my 4X4 pickup pulling people out of ditches up and down hwy99w.. Started with phone call.. Come get me out this sticken ditch.. I lend up getting 4 others out before I got home.. They even tipped me.. One guy was waiting for over an hour and just when I chained him out the tow truck showed-up.. The guy gave me a dirty look and tried to charge the guy. Had to be there to here the words that were exchanged while my palm received 20 bucks.. No complaints and received a job offer.. No way in heck I'm I getting talked into towing cars again. You get calls all hours of the night.. Did some training as a ride along.. I'd rather get shot at as a repo person than to be in wind storm towing, at night, with a guy that looked like he just killed his family.. :D

Wow, sounds like a different place now. Crank was really getting bad just before I left, that will cause crime to go up. My problem out there was I am 65% disabled from a back injury, and nobody would give me a chance. At 50 years old I can and do work most young men under the table. But you have to get a chance, came back here, and had the job I am at know the next day! Good help is hard to find, and I see the kind of lazy people you talk of here also. That snow was fun, and I can understand why they would hit the ditch fast. We went and played in it, well we tried, for me there wasn't enuf snow to really get a good slide going ;) and a tow truck driver is something I would not want to do myself. I have been on call 24/7 before and that makes like a vacuum. Been shot at but have not been a repo dude (long story). Well got to clock in and go to work, later.
Richard
