We recently purchased an (old) new in box Motorguide bow mount trolling motor from someone on Craigslist. We are trying to install this thing but the geometry of the mount seems to be wrong. When in the 'stow' position, the top of the mount is angled so far that it is impossible for the motor to remain attached. It is kind of hard to explain so I am attaching photos. So my questions are- is this normal, is there something we are missing with regard to moving to the 'stow' position, or is this mount defective? Of course Mercury is closed over the weekend, so no help there.
