Was a pretty good race today. Was flipping between the Vikings and the race. Still not sure about the "dance partner" style of racing. I guess just like Daytona, you have no clue who is going to win until the final lap, and usually, the final corner. Which is unique to those 2 tracks for the most part. Hendrick had a bad day. Not sure what Jr and Jimmie were doing. I think somone forgot to tell them it was "time to go". Gordon got hung out to dry towards the end by Bayne. I'm sure Gordon had a few words to say about that after it was all over. Didn't hear anything from him or Shrubby. Tony went backwards too during the final 3 laps.

Looks to me they are down to 5 horses for the Championship. Jimmie is out and so is Shrubby. Harvick is barely hanging on after he was caught up in a wreck.

Burton almost pulled it off. My boy had me at the edge of the couch on the last lap. You almost knew Bowyer was going to get around him. At 'Dega, it's usually never good if you go into the last lap leading. Still very happy that Burton got 2nd. He hasn't had a win in 3 years. Almost happened today.....Almost.

Yeah I'm with you Henry, hate to see Regan Smith do very well and then get taken out, Love the underdog hometown team. 2 car drafting does bring strange bedfellows though, i got worried when the Red Bull team got together. I am also not a fan of drivers talking to each other on the radio...

I wasn't happy at all with the race. Talladega is my favourite track but the races are getting old. I'm so tired of this type of 'racing'. I'd rather watch them all bunched up for 4 hours than watch 2x2x2. I hope they change for the next 'dega race.

Re: 'Dega

We had a great party full of people who thoroughly enjoyed the race!

I loved the two car thing it's always been that way since they slowed them down, guess you just need huge balls to run.

Funny thing is the only person who complained about the racing was a JR fan, go figure. (guess it's hard pulling for the most over rated driver ever, but he sure does sell merchandise)

Martinsville is coming! Can't wait.

I remember not too long ago when it was a single file race. barely any passing.
Then the bump draft came in.
Bunching up has it's downfalls, but it does make it more exciting.
