deleting alarm module and or alarm on 1992 Mercury 75 hp / sea ray 160

Trying to delete the alarm on my 92 merc 75 hp 0D172094

I havent been able to test which wire to unplug but I know where the alarm module is located.


I quickly tested to see if my sounder would beep if I turned the key to the on position to show its working and it beeps.

I removed the tan wire from the Terminal block (C) in link and the sounder would not sound turning the key.


To by pass the alarm entirely would this be the correct way and to just remove the tan wire? or should I remove the Tan and black to entirely bypass the module. What worries me is I dont want to by pass it and find out that it wont start and needs to be connected to complete the ignition circuit.


I am going camping and have already replaced the T stat and have by passed the temp sensor and the alarm still goes off with a steady beep intermittently so I know its either the module or alarm itself and wont bother changing them just yet or at all truthfully.

over all Q I would like to know is if I "delete" the alarm module from the terminal block is there still a chance that the alarm horn will go off still?

If it still can what would I need to disconnect to just delete the sounder alarm itself?
