crusing down the st. johns river and wham!!! hit a downed tree. got home and took a look and found something nasty..about 3/4 back to the drain plug with a gradual increase in depth to about 2 inches max depth at the end of the boat. wont plane and estimate is at 2500 to 3000 to get it "banged" out. any ideas or has anybody had this happen and what did you do to get it fixed. thanks in advance. don't have 3k to invest in a 8k basstracker..dave72

Are those boats welded or riveted? That seems a little high to me. Okay, maybe alot high. I've had the same type of gash in a former car, and it cost me 1200 bucks, and that was with a perfectly matching paint job.

All it takes is a few blocks of hardwood,+ a BFH to Fix it Yourself...............

Once you've gained access to the Bilge,......... I would imagine you have a Floor in the way......
