Try soaking them in Borax. Then add borax to the wash.

Re: Deoderizing bluejeans

I tried the Pine-sol Bond-o recommended. I filled the small pocket w it and scrunched it in a few minutes, let it sit a while and washed them w regular detergent and other jeans. They now have a pleasant piney smell w just a hint of the fish oil left around the pocket, much better than before. Before trying this, the pants would actually start to stink more as I wore them all day at work and got hot when working hard. The denim is very thick and doubled up in the seams around the pocket where the oil must have absorbed very well. I was suprised to see laundry instuctions on the Pine-sol bottle. Thanks for all the replies everyone, esp. the humorous ones! I think w time and more cleanings it will be gone completely.
