Depth finders?

My boat has one of the simple in dash digital depth gauges. Lowrance I think and it runs from a thru hull transducer. I noticed the connector under the dash looks just like the connector on my old lowrance fish finder. Given they are from the same brand, would my fish finder work with my existing transducer?
