Desired WOT RPM 1989 Johnson 40hp?

I posted this question in the Johnson / Evinrude repair forum but nobody over there knew the answer so I thought I would try the prop forum.
I'm helping a friend with prop selection on his boat and I need to know what the desired WOT RPM (by todays standards) would be for his motor. It's a 1989 Johnson 40hp (J40TLCEC)

My info indicates 5,500 rpm.
