Desperately seeking...

I am in Western Washington State. I am looking for a specific boat model that I grew up around and have had massive difficulty finding. It is a Beachcraft built by Britton in the Salem OR area. Beachcraft has been defunct for some years, but their used boats are still around. The boat I'm looking for is an outboard, is 16' and I believe the model was called a Mustang. It was a runabout and was rated at the time for 125 hp. As far as I know this boat hull was manufactured between 1976 and 1980. I've found two of these in my area. One was in very good shape but was way overpriced and under powered. Another was also way over priced considering the shape of the boat and trailer. If anyone out there can help me find one of these boats I'd appreciate it.

I am also wondering how I can go about finding a specific boat. The boat I grew up around was traded-in in July of 1991 to a marina in Milwaukie, OR on McClaughlin Blvd. This marina is now out of business, but I'd really like to find this specific boat and see if it is still in decent shape, and if it could be purchased. The Oregon certificate number on the boat was OR 425 HX. The hull ID number was BCC16115M76J. It was a 76 model boat, had a blue hull and a white deck. Thank you for any help.

TG

Re: Desperately seeking...

I would try contacting the boating authorities in OR, to see if they CAN CROSS REFERENCE the hull id.
