DF2.5 Water pump/cooling system issue

Hello all,

This motor has about 15 hours on it and this time out I noticed that the cooling system is putting out a minimal amount of water compared to what it typically does. There doesn't appear to be a large increase in flow when the engine is rev'd up and I am getting a bit more water out of the exhaust relief holes then I typically do. I am wondering if somehow the last time I was out some weeds maybe got stuck in the water pump since I was in a heavily weeded area. I have experience working on all kinds of engines, however none with outboards and am trying to get some opinions as to whether or not I should tear the lower end apart and look at the water pump. (The engine is under warranty still)

Water inlets under anti cavitation plate show no signs of contaminates.

check tell tail for blockage. compressed air will move stuff around or a piece of weed wacker line run up tell tail while running may help if that is the problem

I removed the telltale nozzle and right behind it was a snail shell about the diameter of a pencil lead. Haven't got to start the motor back up, but hoping that was the problem.

its only a 2.5, a small shell will do it
