I remember seeing in a previous post were you said that there was a high pressure water pump for the 89 V-6 looper (225) 25in lower unit. If this is so could you please post the part number and manufacturer. I have checked here on iboats and only see one that is the OEM replacement.Thanks in advance.

The OE (BRP) number is 5001595. The "standard" pump is 5001594.

I purchased the #5001595, I know how to install a pump however a simple question. On this pump it has a water tube spacer and a spacer gromet, the gromet sits on the housing cover. My question is do I install the tube spacer on the tube or on the cover for assembly, if on the cover does the tube spacer fit inside the spacer grommet or sits on top.

That pump kit covers a few different models. Just use whatever your pump had. If your's doesn't need the spacer then it'll just be an extra part leftover.
