I replaced the bearing and races on both sides a couple weeks ago. The old bearings and races were toasted since the rear seal was letting water in. I got the proper double lipped seals. I have taken the boat and trailer out 3 times since. After the initial repacking I topped the bearing buddies till the cap rocked. I checked the following 2 trips and had to add some grease to fill them till the caps would rock. Figured this is normal since I had repacked them recently and the grease was settling. After each time of adding more grease, I checked to make sure no grease squeezed out the back, and all was good. I just got home from a hour long tow in 90 weather and checked the back of the wheels for the heck of it. There is a little amount of grease by the back seal and on the inside of the wheel. Did I blow the rear seals by adding to much grease?
