If you do not have to do anything but regular maintenance, if you can just take her down to the lake and go, then you did alright. If you paid $2000 and have to do a ton of work, then you did not do alright. You probably could have found a cheaper boat, but if everything is in excellent condition $2000 is a drop in the bucket compared to a new boat of equivelant size.

I always wondered if I payed to much when I bought used stuff from people.until I heard this:

If you are happy with what you bought then you did not pay to much.

I like that thought.

So what if you paid more than the next guy would have. If you feel like you walked away with a good deal then you did.

Unless the guy was hiding something from you .Which in that case it wasnt your fault.

BTW ,
I'm not saying you paid to much.
To be honest ,I dont know.
Used boat prices vary so much from different areas of the country it is hard to nail down a firm "fair" price.

Look around at other boats for sale in your area of approx year, size and power and compare what they are asking to what you paid.

I wouldn't have paid more than $1999 for that boat. So you paid $1 too much. But my neighbor would have paid $2300, so I guess you got a deal.

If you got what you want, it works, and serves your needs, then go make some waves and have fun. :)

Oh, and don't forget the plug.

Hey ,Thanks a couple grand worth Boaters.I didn't expect such a large and prompt reply. This seems to be a good info spot.I'm sure I'll have a hundred more questions.Yea I like the boat just fine. It's quite a step up from what I was getting wet in.I took it straight to the water and it launched, ran and loaded real nice.Didn't catch any fish but I was busy haveing fun trying out my new old boat. Its a bass boat so its a little breezy, but I'm looking for a top? enclosure?Something to keep the wind chill down.My next bass boat will have a cuddy cabin,as soon as I wear this one out in about 10 years.Right??Thanks again everyone.Catch you one later..

LudelP, I would say don't look back !! It's kinda with most used or sometimes new items. If you look back after you purchase, you'll always find a better deal, but you'll never buy.

I was in the computer sales for few years, and I had same concept for my customers, you've got a deal...don't look anymore at flyers and offers, just enjoy what you have, you'll be happier, especially with computers, which change model and price 15 minutes after you exit the store.

Even people with $ 3,000,000.00 100ft yachts are jealous of next in line, they might have gotten a better deal or they might be a better boat.

If you are happy with your purchase, jut take it for a nice ride and start enjoying it.
