It's a 1973 23' day cruiser, has a good running 455 olds and everything is there and works! could use a paint job due to the guy I bought it from (ORIGINAL OWNER) had it in his back yard and the dog scratched it up :( other than that it just needs the interior updated, its water ready. got it for $3,500

Cool!!!!!Looks like you hit a home run to me!!! There are some members who are trying to get their boats to look that good AFTER they finish restoring them.

Looks like you did great. Don't change the interior ... totally dated, but I love the look (mine's a throwback too).

Alright, I think we have a boat thief on iboats... What a steal!!! You did GREAT!!! That is one slick lookin' rig!!! Was admittedly neglected in the long run, but it had to have been beautifully maintained throughout it's eloustrious life. Pay close attention to the motor and drive.

Have a BLAST!!!:D

That is a great looking ride there. If it runs good and dependable you definately came out ahead.

Looks like a solid deal if it runs as good as it looks. If there are only scratches and nothing major, you could probably have it professionally buffed and make the paint look good as new. If the interior doesn't have any major problems, then I agree with leaving it alone and just maintaining it.

thanks guys, im stoked! I cant wait to get it on the lake, trading in a charger tomorrow for a 2010 tahoe 2WD with a 5.3L think it will tow it fine and recover it for the water considering its not a 4WD?

My Silverado has the 5.3 and is 2wd and I've never had any issues pulling or recovering either one of my boats.

Nice ride. Sleek freak here, and the Executive is my favorite model.

Where are you? Very popular boats in Southern CA and AZ. Let's discuss here before you think of painting her. If it is truly just scratched the Gelcoat can clean up very well. It is not paint, and you don't want it . . .

Great looking boat. Welcome to the SleekCraft Day Cruiser club. I tow my Ambassador with a 2WD 07 Avalanche with a 5.3. You should be fine with that Tahoe.

Hello, I think you got an amazing deal. My family and I previously owned this boat. Then we traded it in to Caliber 1 Boats in 2000 when we bought our new boat. We bought it in 1998 and restored it to how it is in your pictures. We bought it from a man in Lakewood, Ca. We lived in Cerritos, Ca. at the time. We rebuilt everything, from the motor, 455 olds... to the Jacuzzi Jet that we had powder coated blue. We machined all the swim step brackets out of aluminum and had them powder coated. These pictures bring back so many good memories of our family on Silverwood Lake and Lake Mead. The only one bad thing, it totally sucked gas. We also had the boat painted by B and K boat repair in Bellflower Ca. Where are you located? I would love to see the boat one day. Thanks!
