Did I get taken?

I bought this new 15x17 prop for my Alpha One outdrive to replace my beat up 19P one.

Of course, I bought it online and everything said Mercruiser prop. I got it today and went to install it after hitting it with some black paint and it doesn't seem to fit.......

Its a Michigan prop P/N 011007. I happened to try and search for it and all I keep coming up with is stuff for OMC/Evinrude motors......

Did I not get what was promised? The splines match but the prop sits way to far on the splines and will not seem to fit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like an OMC prop. E-Beware is what it should say.
Take it to a Merc dealer and they can tell you for sure what it is.Jerry
