Ok so the past few days have been getting near or at freezing for the night so a week ago I decided to drain the engine of all the water. I still plan on using the boat every once in a while (south carolina) so I hadn't done any further winterizing yet.
The boat is a 1992 Maxum with the 3.0l Mercruiser alpha one outdrive.
After reading the forums and searching around I found 2 brass drain plugs on the port side of the engine, and drained all of the water out. I also took off an end of the big circulation hose, but there wasn't even a drop of water in it. There is no power steering in the boat so there was no need to worry about that. I also put the outdrive in the full down position and saw some water drain from it as well.
The question is, am I missing a plug?! I was reading through mercstuff.com and they made it sound like there are in fact 3 drain plugs, one on exhaust elbow?
