Our custom-made diesel fuel tank does not have a manufacture’s label on it. Does the USCG required a label for diesel fuel tanks like the label that is required on gasoline tanks?

Re: Diesel Fuel Tank Labels

I forgot to post a follow up to this for anyone that is interested… As per telephone conversations with the USCG, there are no regulations governing diesel fuel storage on boats. The fuel tanks do not require certification. Gasoline tanks do. You can tote your diesel fuel around splashing freely in the bilge, if you want to. As long as it stays in the boat, you are ok.
