Difference between 85493 and 85493B?

I'm looking for a service/repair manual for an 85493B. Manuals for the 85493 are available. What difference does the "B" designation make if any?

No difference.....the "B" is just the model run sequence at the factory......the available manual is the right one for your motor.....its a 1974 85hp Evinrude.....85493B was the only 85hp produced that year.
