Hello
I am about to purchase a clean 1989 Chriscraft Limited 205 and have a few questions.

1) Manual says there is a 4.3L HO and 4.3L, whats the difference?
2) What are the HP rating on these motors?
3) How much does the boat weight? Is it really 3000 lbs?

My guess is that the only difference is 2V vs 4V carb.

Some of the HO engines had different ignition systems but not sure if that was around yet in 89.

Not sure as my shop manual is from '88 but looking at those 2 engines, the HO model does not seem to have the mechanical fuel pump that the carbed models have right next to the fuel filter at the lower left side. Could be an early throttle body injection system, with electric fuel pump? I don't think so because I looked at the OMC parts catalog at Crowley marine and all the engine model #s have carbs, no throttle body.
As far as the carbed models, I know the 4.3s with the 2 bbl were rated at 175 and the ones with the 4bbl like mine were rated at 205.
