i want to add a swim platform to my 1802 trophy..i'm just curious what the difference is..i can see that a o/b platform has one bracket on top and one at the bottom on the oppisite side..while a i/o has both brackets on top..is it because of the difference in transom designs between the two..just wondering!! i think because boating season is over for me all i think about is how i can still spend money on my boat!!! swim platform, gps/depthfinder(any suggestions), am/fm radio, dual batt set up..hmm cup holders...i hope winter is short this will get expensive. thanx

I beleive it's a matter of clearance for the outdrive to swing back and forth, I think the outdrive would hit if the bar was on the bottom.

build your own!!! ittl keep you outta the marine shops!!!
look at others first, it seems all mounting brackets are different.
make sure the leg goes lock to lock, on whatever you put on. also make special note of the water clearance.

you might also want a fold down ladder on the grid.
if your boating in salt, a gps and a marine radio is a really good thing to have.
does your boat have a cooler? if not how bout cooler brackets. mine slid from bow to stearn lotsa times.

have fun.
and btw. it just started snowing here. (west coast canada)
so i get to look at my beauteful lake, and my sno covered boat!

sniff:(
