Difference in 230a and 230b

What is the difference in the Volvo Penta 230a and 230b?

the A came out just before the B. what year are you talking?

1992 glastron. I thought it was a b for some reason but the tag says A. I was asking just cause I have been buying ignition parts.

The 230B is just later model 230A, probably just internal differences in the drive. The Owner's manual and shop books cover all of those models. I am certain the ignition parts are the same, and parts like bellows, etc.
