Difference in 2Cycle Oil

Anyone know the Difference between regular 2 cycle oil and Marine 2 cycle oil ? Dad filled my gas tank to be helpful but Cut the corner on the oil......God love em....<br />Joe From Ohio :rolleyes: 63' Lonestar

For marine use an oil formulated for this specific use is always recommended.<br /><br />The rating to look for is TWC-3 ('TwotrokeWaterCooled version 3' i think).<br /><br />Due to different running conditions and temperatures ordinary two-stroke oil is not recommended - no guarantee that it will harm it and no guarantee that it won't. If you want no worries, stick to TWC-3.<br /><br />Opinions on brands and qualities are MANY (search this forum for it).<br /><br />I'd say your dad just gave you a tank of fuel for your lawnmower etc. :cool:

Thanks UU Appreciate the info.... I knew they called it Marine oil for a reason !
