I pulled an older style oildyne pump from the 1984 engine to use it with the newer 1993 4.3 v6 rebuilt engine. I'm still going to use the old engine wire harness and the old transom plate and outdrive. I have a newer Prestolite pump with the plastic oil container. Can I replace the old Oildyne pump with the newer Prestolite one without changing all the hoses and transom parts? Thx

???? The old pumps were Prestolite, the new ones with the plastic reservoir are Parker-Oildyne 108s...

But yes, the hose connections are the same.
