My center carb has a broken Venturi and was told this could be the reason the engine will not WOT. Tried replacing it but Mercury dealer can only seem to find one Venturi (52106A1 part number) which is smaller than my broken 1. Picture of broken Venturi. I came across my exact carb Same Venturi and all on eBay (picture uploaded) but only need the Venturi so I don’t want to buy the entire carb if I don’t have to. Even called Mercury *(920) 929-5040 and they couldn’t figure it out.
I also have a wmk 2 carb laying around with the small Venturi.
The motor’s original carbs didn’t have Venturi so I know someone updated them with the carbs I have now.
Calling MERCURY was a big help by the way don’t left this post mislead you about that.
QUESTIONS
Can someone please tell me I’m not the only one who has/had this issue?
Whats the difference between the 2 carbs they look exactly the same to me besides the Venturi?
Can I replace the center wmk 3 with broken Venturi with my wmk 2 that has the smaller Venturi?
What should I be on the look out for if I did replace wmk 3 with wmk 2?
Can I replace the center carb with taking out all 3 taking off flywheel etc?
