Yea, I deleted them as I was in error. I opened up my old Volvo Penta AQ200D. A 305 SBC. When I took off the heads I found two different gaskets. One was the thin steel type that measured .018" crushed and the other was a steel & gasket material sandwich with steel rings which measured .045". My wife who had the boat for 26 years (right off the showroom floor) told me nothing had ever been done to the engine. I was thinking... What The.... I then decided to call her younger brother and ask him. He told me a pushrod broke soon after the purchase. Voila, different head gaskets explained. Now the question, which one is stock. I think the all steel gasket.
