I've long wanted to try a 4 blade prop on my Gulfstream.
I am currently running a 15 x 17 cupped Michigan Wheel 3 blade. Since I installed my semi-hotrod 5.0 ltr, 4 bbl, roller cam motor, I have not yet let it run out to WOT. It kinda scares me, it's such a demon.(and a gas hog at high rpm) But, I believe that I probably would top out at slightly over 5 grand on calmish water.
I do not want stainless steel for the OMC outdrive so I am looking at aluminum.
ebay has a Vortec 4 blade 15 x16 prop for a very nice price. Do you think that would be a proper size coming off of a 15 x 17 3 blade cupped prop?
