different prop size

i'm looking at a new prop and is wondering what the difference in the numbers would do. (better holeshot or worse and higher or lower wot rpm)
I figured I will ask. I'm new to the whole prop thing.
he has now a 13.25 17p and is looking to buy a 13.75 15p
I knows what it has to run at rpm wise just wants to know if its practical
its a really good price!!! in case it matters there both alum michigan wheel props

Tell us present rpm at max speed.Shouldn't make any prop changes without any help from the prop guys going down in pitch helps hole shot and skiing.
down in pitch (lower number) increases rpm about 200 per inch change.
Diameter is a product of prop design and generally not considered in a prop change.

it runs 4200 at 35 and is realllly hard get off plane pulling a double tube
I pull mostly tubes and skiers wide open really dont matter to much to me.
I have a mercruiser with a 3.0, 17ft chapperelle bowrider

The 15 should help your hole shot and put you at about 4,600 rpm.
Just watch the rpm.
