i have a 1976 14'6" manatee witha chrysler charger 85 hp outboard. it has a 13"by 21"pitch right hand rotation prop.with boat loaded pulls whife and kids on tube and ski but could be a little better out of the hole.<br /> wont get me at 195 lbs out of water on ski very well. flat out it will go around 50 mph.<br /><br />what prop can i use and not loose alot of speed.<br /><br />hase any one tried one of those prps with adjustable pitch knobs? if so do they eork.<br /><br />every other weekend i take family and every other weekend i go out cruzing and fishing so i dont want to have to change props every weekend.

To gain anything you will have to give something up, ICWeb.<br /><br />You will need a tach reading at WOT with light and with heavy loads for anyone here to be able to advise you responsibly.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

loaded with wife and kids and gear rpm is 4200- 4500 with just me and poles 5600 rpm

best to have optional prop for ski applicationsif you don'twant to sacrifice top speed when not skiing.try 19" pitch for skiing.

do you have vent holes around the hub? they do help alot with hole shot! and no speed lost, just need a drill :)
