Before the switch from analog to digital, I use to be able to get a regular TV signal while away from the dock, hanging out at anchor and that kind of stuff; is there a digital converter that doesn't run on 110 power and can work on my 12 Volt TV? Does no generator, mean no TV or the purchase of a newer TV with a converter built in? I'm ok at the dock because we have a cable hook up that we plug in.

Use an inverter which converts 12 volts DC to 110 AC. A $30 - $40 unit (100 watt) should be large enough. Connect the inverter input to 12 volts and plug the box into the 110 outlet on the inverter.
