dinks in the propeller

I have a 1975 Evinrude outboard 115 hp. It has a three blade propeller that has quite a few little dinks and small impact areas, but no real sign of heavy damage or warping, or bending of the blades. I have read a bit about how cavatition can cause bad things, and a damaged prop causes cavatition. What is the threshold for damage before it begins to effect performance, and or good maintenance on the engine.

This is my first boat and it is a true "fixer upper" so I have a long list of needs, should a new prop be high on the list?

Try the prop you have before you do anything.

Thanks bhammer. I had some access issues and the moderator and I were working on a solution when I could not find the first thread, I posted again. This is the first time I have been able to view the responses. I will take note for the future though.
