So my 66 100hp V4ml-12r seems to be a stumper but figured most everything out myself, does my charging system need the diodes, in the external box that's "supposed" to be with the motor to charge? And what color wire was typically the charge wire on the plug in the engine compartment that connects to the boat? Thx Eliot

1966 100hp does not have an external junction box. The diodes are mounted on the flywheel guard, and the voltage regulator is behind the powerhead. Yes, you need both if you expect it to charge.

cowboy, you have a PM.
