Dirty Fuel Tank.....

Here's what I'm getting out of my aluminum fuel tank on my 21' Center Console Fishing boat:

Every time I put the polished gas back in it and slosh it around I get this same amount of crud out of it... Using a manual transfer pump from harbor freight. Should I rip the console an the floor out and remove the tank just to clean it out or keep doing what I'm doing?!$&?!

Thanks.

drain the tank and dispose of, dump in about 20 gallons of E85 and go for a 20 mile drive on the roughest road you can find.

drain, dispose of the contaminated fuel and repeat.

you can pull the tank inspection cover, remove your sending unit and pressure wash the interior of your tank too.

what you are finding is fuel crud from fuel sitting and turning back into corn and dead dinosaurs
