Disassembling Throttle Control

I have a 1992 Crestliner with a 1991 Evinrude 150HP. The trim & tilt works fine at the motor, but only works "down" (not up) at the throttle button. I think I need a new switch in the throttle handle.

Is disassembling the throttle handle a big deal? I can't see how to take it apart. All the controls, wires, etc. behind the panel are too intimidating for me to take anything apart back there.
Is there a trick to taking the throttle apart simply without damaging it so I don't have to take the boat to the dealer?
Any help is appreciated. Sorry - I'm not very handy.
Thanks,

Paul...I'm going to move your topic over to the Johnson/Evinrude forum.

Mods get freaked? Hummm.
If tha thing intimidates ya and ya don't have a manual, you'd probably do best by taking it to a wrench, Paul. There's lots of springs and geegaws in there. ;)

g'luck & c/6

Hooty
