Very soon I will be installing a rebuilt powerhead on my 1991 90 hp Yamaha and I have had a few people suggest pre mixing oil on this motor now and disconnect the oil pump not just for the break in but for good. I don't mind doing that because I'll will know for sure the motor will be always getting enough oil. And because the old power head had a small piece break off of the bottom piston it makes me wonder if it happened because of lack of oil in that cylinder. So I thought I would post the question here to see what other opinions were.
