I am relocating my trolling motor/fish finder/engine starter battery to the bow of the boat to help distribute some weight. After a little bit of searching on the forum, I "think" I found the piece (distribution stud) that I need to do what I need it to do. I am using 6 gauge marine grade wires to go from the battery to the stern of the boat. I would like to run the 6 gauge wires to a distribution stud (??) so I could then use the posts to hook up to my fish finder & engine starter. I would like to avoid splicing wires, so was wondering if this would work & if the "distribution stud" the piece that I am needing??

You could certainly use this for your stated purpose, but you have to make sure there is no chance of an accidental short across those posts.

How long are the runs back to the motor, and what is the motor? Six gauge may not be heavy enough.

The runs are about 13' for a 46# thrust MinnKota trolling motor. The gas motor is a 15hp Johnson, which I would also connect to the distribution stud to use for starting the motor.
