I have a Volvo Penta 5.0 GL. I was changing spark plugs and didn't mark where each wire goes on the distributer is there a picture somewhere that would help in making sure I put the right wire where it belongs ?
The wires are on the right plug just don't know where they go on distributor.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for your reply, I see there is an arrow on top is that the back of the engine? So the spark plugs on the right would be 2,4,6,8?

The arrow points towards the front of the boat (your distributor should be at the back, closer to the transom). Even number cylinders are on the starboard side.

You should rotate the motor around to TDC to verify cylinder #1

Now of course were assuming its a standard cap and not the crab cap that does use the same order or the newest cap that does not cross the wires but crosses the connections to have 2468 on the same side as with 1357
