have a 1994 grady white sailfish w/ 2 1994 225 evinrudes. the engines run fine but the port warning horn starts "clicking continuously after the motor starts up. it beeps as it should when you turn the key to on. i have switched horns and the starboard horn dose the same thing when on the port wiring harness. it doesnt beep it just makes an annoying light clicking sound continuously. i thought maybe it was the oil tank level warning so i disconnected it and it still dose it! the impellors are new and strong, i just ran 180 miles on sat and the engines are fine. the vros are hooked up and working, oil consumtion is equal. what is the problem??? any suggestions or ideas??

thanks in advance

The horns will do that if they are on their way out.

I would agree but the fact is that when you switched them the problem did not follow the horn. That is a little confusing.

DH,

You're right, I did not catch that. Read it too fast.

Anyway, I would be looking at the harness. possibly the heat sensors in the heads. Tan wire, I believe. Follow that and see if it is pinched somewhere.

IF the sound did not go away after you disconnected the oil tank wires, then disconnect the 4 wire connector on the "VRO" pump and turn the key on again. Let us know what you find out.
